Bolillo Painting

A few years ago I made this mixed media painting, Bolillo, for my grandpa.   The painting was inspired by one of his tall tales about a “bolillo” (rolling pin made out of a broom handle, used for making tortillas), a tree, and their humorous journey together.

San Francisco Living

My lovely light-filled Outer Richmond district apartment in San Francisco will always hold a special place in my heart.  Not only was it across the street from the great Lands End trail, it was a 10 minute walk to the beach, had the sweetest neighbors, and best of all it was huge (by city standards), which meant plenty of space to make.
